Small Business & Retirement Plans Foundation (SBRP)
Was founded as a 501(c) 3 not – for – profit organization in 2006. SBRPs’ mission is to facilitate and collaborate with community organizations that advocate and support financial literacy & business development — Including, continuing education for disadvantaged young adults, mature professionals, adults in transition, seniors, licensed consultants and military personnel (veterans).
Financial literacy and small business
Seminar or work-shops are facilitated by licensed professionals and dedicated volunteers. With professional guidance and interactive participations, individuals are given the opportunity to learn how to properly identify business opportunities: And, to understand the financial services industries, insurance and health & retirement products. They will receive priceless knowledge and skills they can share with their coworkers, friends and family, which will be useful to them for the rest of their lives.
Exposing individuals to the better business companies, industries, and financial institutions, can open the lines of communications that are mutually beneficial to both your communities and small businesses (HUB & Empowerment Zones): Including, significant tax savings, economic revenue and, accelerated health & retirement benefits packages. It can also offer alternative career aspirations and higher educational business & partnership opportunities. Leading by example, our students, attendees and clients will serve as positive role models to their peers, kids, younger adults, government agencies & their communities.
Small Business & Financial literacy workshops consist of:
- Information dissemination programs: To deliver existing materials in collaboration with partners {i.e., banks, non – profits, financial institutions, corporations, government agencies}
- Awareness programs: To increase access to other existing financial resources, materials, seminars, vendor programs and agency contracting; that further job creation.
- Materials development programs: To produce pro-forma outlines, business plans and budget planning, to develop resources that promote responsible spending & investment habits.
- Teaching students how to choose the right financial services companies: And products for themselves and their families (even if you are unemployed or temporarily employed).
- How to take advantage of employer-sponsored qualified & nonqualified: Retirement and health benefit plans.
